How to propose a new vxProject

1. If you are a registered user you will be able to propose a new vxProject. [See the vxEnhancement Process]

2. Initially vxProjects are treated as Forum entries in the Development Workspace. Once a team is assigned we will formalize the project creating a space in vxVistA.org and Jira.

3. From top menu, select Developers -> Projects

4. All projects are identified by a project key

Project Key
Key — a 'key' unique to this project (eg. 'WEB'), which specifies the first few letters of this project's issue keys (e.g. 'WEB-100'). We recommend that you define a key that describes the project and is easy to type (as it prefixes each issue in the project). Please note that the key is shown to users who do not have permission to see the project and cannot be changed once the project exists.

5. Enter the Project Key and click on the button "Enter Project key...."

6. A new form will show up with basic information fields for the project (you will be able to remove or add more information on the next step). The Project Key entered in Step 5 is now the name of the page (or forum entry) that will contains the information of the proposed project.

7. Save the form with the project information and the new page will be created

8. A new entry is added into the Forum List
