This week is your last chance to sign up for Greg Kreis' VISTA Foundations course in Seattle, October 18-21, the days leading up to the VISTA Expo & Symposium. We are seeking just one more student, in order to avoid cancellation.
Students will have the opportunity to explore the infrastructure modules and to view VISTA programs that use them through hands-on interaction with a VISTA system. The three and one-half day VISTA Foundations course is extremely valuable for staff and management who have recently begun working with VISTA, or for those considering working with VISTA. The course provides a high level overview of VISTA’s Infrastructure modules. Emphasis is placed on roles, interactions and interfaces to the infrastructure modules that form VISTA's foundation. Armed with an understanding of the infrastructure foundations of VISTA, new developers will write better software, new support staff will provide quicker diagnoses, and current Application Coordinators can better function as liaisons.
Tom Munnecke has been holding banquets celebrating the folks and the activities of the “underground” efforts of a group of folks who helped build the VISTA system. This year, it comes to the Expo on Thursday night. See where we've come from, meet our roots and enjoy the chance to honor those who started this whole crazy thing. Oh, and the food's pretty good too :>. See Tom's write up on the Underground Railroad, http://munnecke.com/blog/?p=1984 Register here: http://vistaexpo.net/registration.html.
Don't know what might be funded as of October 1? Neither do we! That's why we've extended the deadlines for both Hotel Bloc AND Class Signups to October 4! We know many folks need a couple of days to sort this all out, so we arranged to give them to you! Register for classes or find hotel reservations here: http://vistaexpo.net/index.html
